Institute of Industrial Science Alumni Association Foreign Chapter Guide

The establishment of a foreign chapter, as detailed in paragraph three of the rules and regulations of the Institute of Industrial Science Alumni Association (hereafter the association), may be approved by the general assembly in accordance with the following points;

1. Naming of the foreign chapter

The name of the foreign chapter should clearly indicate the region that it covers.

2. Proposed representative for the foreign chapter

A representative for the chapter should be proposed and the signatures of at least five initial members are required.

3. Location of the foreign chapter

The address and full contact details of the foreign chapter should be clearly indicated.

4. Procedures for the approval of the foreign chapter

The proposal to establish the foreign chapter should clearly state the official name (including the region), location (including full contact details), leading representative and provide a list of members. This must be signed by at least five members and should be sent to the head of the association.

5. Management of the foreign chapter

  1. Following the establishment of the foreign chapter, an official meeting should be held to elect its representative and define its management architecture. This information should be reported to the head of the association.
  2. The elected representative must present the current and planned activities of the foreign chapter at the annual general meeting of the association.
  3. Any changes made regarding the management of the foreign chapter should be reported to the head of the association.
