In order to address various global issues related to energy and resources, the research group conducts comprehensive research on energy materials such as battery materials, electrochemical catalysts, and related technologies, as well as smelting and recycling technologies for rare metals such as titanium, silicon, magnesium, rare earths, and other reactive metals.

In particular, energy materials, the use of which has been increasing explosively in recent years, are mainly composed of rare metals, and a comprehensive study of these materials is very effective. In addition, we regularly gather expert researchers at the forefront of academia and industry around the world to gain knowledge of the latest research and the latest social trends in this field by presentations and discussions. Furthermore, through the activities of this research group, we will not only create international collaborations, but also promote human resource exchange with research institutions around the world and seek global solutions to energy and resource problems.
