Simon Schnyder, Project Assistant Professor of the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo, collaborated with Professor Matthew Turner and Dr. Mark Lynch of the University of Warwick (UK), as well as Professor Ryoichi Yamamoto and Assistant Professor John Molina of the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University. This group has predicted the behaviors people choose during infectious disease outbreaks when they care about others, using mathematical models and game theory.
