Announcement on Technical Forum
"What should we do now? - Rehabilitation after the Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster -"

The damage caused by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster is very extensive and widely distributed, and an appreciation of its full significance has not yet fully revealed. In view of this, we would like to report on some of the survey results on the damage and rehabilitation activities underway in a variety of technical fields. Some members of the Institute of Industrial Science at the University of Tokyo have participated in these surveys. We hope to provide relevant information as much as possible, including not only the case histories of significant damage but also those with pre-executed seismic designs and/or countermeasures which suffered from no or very little amounts of damage. By having this technical forum, we attempt to summarize what we have learned so far and to discuss what we should do now for rehabilitation from the Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster.

Your attendance at this forum is highly appreciated.
