The Department of Materials and Environmental Science conducts extensive research ranging from fundamental studies to studies for advanced material development. More specifically, studies include those for the analysis of chemical and physical properties of new materials, development of new synthesis methods and production processes, innovations in biotechnology and environmental analysis, and the development of eco-friendly technologies to realize a sustainable society.
