(5) Environmental Chemical Analysis of Airborne Particulates

In order to assure the safety and health of urban environment, the atmospheric airborne particulates is an important target item to control. In this group the new method to make source apportionment was established by using individual particle analysis. Airborne suspended particulates are, in ensemble, complex mixture from a variaty of emission sources, especially in the case of urban atmosphere. Our method based on individual particles analysis and statistical cluster analysis can bring us the information on large numbers of emission sources and their contribution. This method was applied to analyze atmosphere beside the heavy traffic road, atmosphere in the subway station and atmosphere in the underground market street.
