Research Integrations of IIS

Group Research, in which multiple laboratories work together voluntarily, is actively organized in the IIS. These studies are conducted on various levels — from research units comprising researchers in similar fields to large-scale projects involving cooperation among researchers from different fields in accordance with pre-established plans and purposes. Furthermore, Research Integration — the integration of research in different fields is underway based on research aims defined in a top-down manner. It is expected that this will lead to the development of multidisciplinary education and the creation of solutions-based research. Research centers and collaborative research centers are the major outcomes of the activities of these Research Units and Research Integration. The flexible organization of these research groups enables faster and more dynamic expansion and development of research.
